More developments in the Sino-American spat – Biden won't let China "become the leading, wealthiest, and most powerful country in the world on his watch"? Newsflash… that's not really how it works, and any preschooler on the playground could tell you that. ngl smdh rn
The Asian version of "the talk", except we've never really talked about it
2034: A Novel of the Next World War is definitely a zeitgeist novel, one I finished in two nights this week. A pretty incredible personal record seeing as I've barely touched a novel (despite studying English Literature at uni) in the past decade. Some plot holes, endings too easily formed, a couple of loose strings, but it left me with one burning question: will the Eurocentric and thus Euro-beneficial post-WWII rules-based order prove an effective, resilient obstacle against all-out zero sum warfare, or will China's ambition to return to its former status in the global order prove stronger?
