A welcome reprieve

South Africa has been very kind to me this past week, a most welcome reprieve from the tariff madness that descended just about the same time as I did on this continent.

I’ve just returned from a weekend at charming Franschhoek, full of cheese and wine tastings and biltong and excellent, non-pretentious restaurant food.

Regular programming will resume in two weeks, since next Monday is Easter Monday, and we’ll all probably have a better idea of what fresh hell we’re living in.
