Today marks the end of my Seapunk residency, structured as a semi-sabbatical away in the spirituality-infused mountains of Chiang Mai, where I quite literally took form. In less than 48 hours I will be travelling from one SEA to another SEA, landing into what feels like one of the most portentous US elections in my lifetime. I doubt I could escape election news even if I wanted to, so I suppose my lucky readers will get dispatches from the frontlines!
The past 20 days have been filled with new learnings, unlearnings, new friendships, older ones rekindled, connections formed and vibes vibing. The unpacking here will be done thematically rather than chronologically, to honour the emergent nature of this Southeast Asian dialect of solarpunk.
Until next time – signing off from Chiang Mai!
