A score and eighteen

There will be no usual format Monday Briefing today, dear readers, as I am still recovering from a birthday weekend of trashy wine, baijiu, moutai and something called… Lao Zap (a Laotian sticky rice liquor, not its homophonic Cantonese “old gravy”). Kopi O the cat also made an honorary appearance.

I’ll be continuing birthday week celebrations by travelling to Bangkok for the 2024 Asia-Pacific Futures Network Conference, meet with collaborators like Seapunk Sam (more on this anon), and plan for a seapunk-y Chiang Mai residency in October/November.

Next week’s Monday Briefing will include my notes from some of the conference sessions due to recap requests from friends and readers, along with a bit of a photo travelogue.
